Construction of Autonomous Mobile Robot

For participating in National engineering robotics competition and National electronics Olympiad I constructed autonomous mobile robot using proximity detection and AVR ATMEGA32 controller for obstacle avoidance and path following .I designed robot mechanical structure and electronics control modules which include power boards, H-bridge motor drives from the scratch. AVR microcontroller was used for processing inputs and outputs of the robot.

Robot Mechanical Model was initially designed on PRO-Engineer for Analysis and Discussion.


Layouts for Electronics modules were designed on Proteus and were prepared by etching boards and soldering of electronics components  Bjt, Diodes etc. on them.

 For processing inputs and outputs AVR ATMEGA32  was used.  


With my team I participated in two national level event and performed exceptionally well and managed to win National Electronics Olympiad Robomaza Competition.
